How i become train driver ?

Hi Mina - it's great to hear you are interested in becoming a train driver. You would need to apply for a Trainee Train Driver vacancy via our careers site - https://careers.firstgroup.co.uk/jobs/search

If we don't currently have any vacancies, there is the option to register for job alerts.

When it comes to applying, the online application process for a Trainee Train Driver vacancy consists of pre-screening questions, an application form, online tests and possibly a video interview. Once you have successfully completed these, your application will then be reviewed and should you be shortlisted, you'll be invited to attend an assessment day. If you pass all of the assessments, you would then be invited to the final stage of an interview. Should you be successful at interview, you would then be made an offer of employment (pending pre-employment checks) and a training plan will be arranged for you to become a Train Driver.

hi how old do i have to be to work at GWR im currently 13 and im wondering im been inter resterd since i was a little todler and do i need an aprenticeship

Hi Filip,

You would need to be at least 18 years of age to secure regular employment with us or 16 if you were applying for an apprenticeship role.
