Hi Vijeesh,
The recruitment stages for the role of Conductor with GWR are made up of the following:
- Online situational judgement test (SJT)
- Guard stage 1 assessment consisting of a ticket selling & checking test (TSCT), a test of concentration (SCAAT), and a rules acquisition aptitude test (RAAT)
- Guard stage 2 assessment consisting of both an individual and group exercise, followed by an interview.
The key to performing well at each stage is preparation. For the SJT, there are many examples online for you to practice and better familiarise yourself with the style of test. In respect to the assessment stages, for stage 1 you would be provided with practice materials at least one week before the assessment date so that again, you can become accustomed to the tests and therefore more comfortable and confident in completing them on the day. For stage 2, all instructions would be provided on the day but it would be a good idea to have done some research on GWR and the role of a Conductor to maximise your performance.
I hope that helps.
